miu miu more

good morning! it's possibly been the longest gap (ever) between any form of post/communication/whatnot. i promise to you dear internet connection, all is not lost! witless banter returns! prepare to, er, grit your teeth and run...

on a slightly less self-deprecating note, time for some good old fashioned label appreciation. miu miu. their spring collection (yes i know i'm behind the times - i forgot this existed alright) is gorgeous with bells and tassels and capital letters and oh my god it's lovely. not only is it miu miu - the only designer label i actually own and is also the brainchild of the mother of all things wonderous miuccia prada (i love prada unbelievably so) - anyway, not only is it miu miu but it's also BLOODY AWESOME

i'm sure most of us have seen these lovely creations before, but they need some serious loving. the patterns? the colours? the lovely little tea dress tailoring? oh my god i've wet myself with pure love already! and then the JEWELS, good lord this collection is mindblowing. my favourite is the red and white swallow-patterned cut out dress. it's a bit like what i'd imagine would happen if a prostitute replaced alice in wonderland. i've always had a soft spot for collars too, and this does not disappoint. were my fancy a soft spot and this collection chocolate, i don't think i'd have any teeth left. in fact screw my anatomy i want that dress!

CUT OUT SWALLOW DRESS, i think i'd quite happily sacrifice a bodily part for you.

can i be a passenger on yo boat

okay so I decided that maybe just posting pictures on a blog was possibly pushing the boat out on laziness so I'm back on here to push more pointless rubbish into your peachy cheeks

HOKAY so this is a band called passenger, they are actually from brighton (like me) and once I saw them busking in the laines and embaressed myself fawning all over them, but I ADORED them about 4 years ago, found their album the other week and was like woaaaah. it's good, really good! and also they're really nice, and the lead singer has a firm handshake and a little beard going on. always/sometimes a good thing

Good old Mumm-ra, I was so gutted when they split up! I saw them live 3 times, have their drumstick and co-conspired (and regrettably failed) to get the lead singer's shoelace. Anyway, though they're sadly dead and cold in their grave, that doesn't mean we can't remember them with fondness and maybe plant a tree or two in their honour :)

And just because they have a similar-ish name and I really love this song...
